You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

This is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options to customize your cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant.
